Bedding Manufacturer Increases Workforce, Adds Job Opportunities

DUQUESNE, Pa. – American Textile Company (ATC) has continued its growth in the bed pillow business by recently expanding the company’s Salt Lake City, Utah production, and shipping facility. This has added new jobs to the Salt Lake region.

The building opened in July 2007 with 55,000 square feet and has now increased its occupancy to 115,000 square feet. The expansion also means more jobs, with ATC’s Salt Lake operation growing its initial workforce by 200 percent in just six months – from 25 employees to 75 employees.

This development comes as a result of increased retail demand for ATC’s bed pillows. The Pittsburgh based company is a leading supplier of performance-based bedding products including pillow covers, mattress covers and, mattress pads.

The growth of our presence and capabilities in Salt Lake means we can better serve our customers’ needs throughout the United States,” said Jack Ouellette, president and, CEO of ATC. “We are committed to increasing our already strong presence in the bedding industry.”
