American Textile Company (ATC) celebrates today the completed expansion of its headquarters — a $9.2 million project, which added more than 83,000 square feet to its now 107,000-square foot distribution facility located in Duquesne.

DUQUESNE, Pa. – This development comes as a result of ATC’s growing bed pillow manufacturing operation, which is expected to create approximately 50 new manufacturing jobs in Pittsburgh. We are proud to increase our contribution to growing Western Pennsylvania’s economy,” said Reid Ruttenberg, American Textile Company chairman. This ribbon cutting not only celebrates the completed expansion, but it allows us to thank our various partners, whose extraordinary support made this facility possible.” Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato will participate in the celebration. Representatives from the following organizations will also attend: Allegheny County Department of Economic Development, Citizen’s Bank Job Bank Program, City of Duquesne, Cohen & Grigsby, PC, Desmone & Associates Architects, Duquesne Business Advisory Council, HFF, Jendoco Construction Corporation, KOM, International Nationwide Insurance, Office of Congressman Mike Doyle, Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District, Office of State Senator Sean Logan, Pennsylvania’s 45th District, Pennsylvania Department of Banking, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority, PNC Bank, Regional Industrial Development Corporation and the Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

The event will feature brief remarks by Chairman Ruttenberg, Chief Executive Onorato, City of Duquesne Mayor Phil Krivacek and Secretary Yablonsky, followed by a light luncheon and plant tours. ATC’s headquarters sit on 8 acres in Duquesne, Pa./ in RIDC Riverplace, which was first occupied by ATC in April 2003.
