ATC is planning a significant  expansion to its manufacturing and distribution center in Tift County, GA.

TIFTON, Ga. – December 8, 2020 – American Textile Company is planning a more than 100,000 square foot expansion to it’s manufacturing and distribution center in Tift County, GA. The company manufactures and distributes bedding products to a variety of retailers, from big box stores to internet retailers. The addition will bring the total square footage in Tift County to more than 500,000 square feet. Construction on the project is underway, with completion expected in July 2021.

Currently American Textile employs more than 400 people in Tifton, and plans to hire additional staff with the expansion. The company has grown significantly from the 30-person team they started with, and growth is expected to continue.

“We are proud to collaborate with American Textile Company as they continue to grow and expand in Tift County,” said Brian Marlowe, President and CEO of the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce and Tift County Development Authority. “We value their commitment to our community over the last 10 years and are grateful for their partnership.”

“Consistent growth over the last decade is driving our expansion in the Tifton manufacturing and distribution facility,” according to Patrick Seiffert, Senior Vice President of Marketing for American Textile Company. “Our eCommerce sales are growing rapidly, which is driving the need for additional space to better meet rising demand and service our customers.”

Much of the growth is fueled by people realizing how important sleep is to overall wellness, according to Seiffert. Company research indicates that 89 percent of those surveyed report at least occasional challenges sleeping through the night. American Textile’s products offer solutions that address many of these challenges, including temperature control, allergies and even stress and anxiety.

Seiffert highlighted AllerEase, which is a line of protective coverings for pillows and mattresses that help allergy sufferers sleep better by blocking allergens from their bedding. He also highlighted the Tranquility weighted blanket, which is now the No. 1 selling weighted blanket brand in the United States. “The pandemic and everything around it has caused enormous stress and anxiety for people,” he said. “This is a safe, effective, non-chemical way to relax and get better sleep.” For more information, visit www.americantextile.com.
